Bird Nests

This is the project I had looked forward to all weekend.
I had my materials gathered and went to work on a Monday
morning excited knowing my kids we're going to love this.
Of course after I arrived at work I became sick and went home for two
days with a stomach bug. :( Very unhappy, I begged for pictures.
I really wish I had been there.

Easter Eggs

We made Easter eggs with water colors and shaving cream.
This was a fun Pinterest project. we dropped the liquid water colors on the shaving cream, the students swirled the colors around with a cotton swab, and then they pressed their egg in the shaving cream.
We squeegeed away the shaving cream and had bright colored eggs.

Animal Unit Pets

We ended our animal unit with pets. Students brought pictures of their pets and stuffed animals for show and tell.
Our project was water coloring cat masks.

A Rainbow of Activies

We made clouds with rainbows using paper plates
and ribbons. This was a pinterest project from

Here students painted with a variety of colors.
Various table activities were also available.
Students practiced writing, used pompom
magnets and created using playdough,
feathers and pipe cleaners.

During circle time we collected toys around the room and sorted them by color.

Animal Tracks

Yesterday the three's made animal tracks.
They walked the animals through the paint then onto their papers.

Here are some of the table activities.

Shamrocks

The idea for these shamrocks came from Pinterest. My preschool board is so large I can't find the original pin. It's time to break that board down but the thought of doing it is overwhelming to me.
First we painted the shamrocks with a water/glue mixture.
Then added torn streamer paper to decorate the shamrocks.

I lost the picture of them adding the paper to the project.

This is the finished shamrock after I cut them out.

We used the Lucky Charms graph from @ Teaching Mommies at snack time today. This was so much fun. Unfortunately I didn't take the picture until after they started eating. And of course being a blogging newbie I can not figure out how to rotate the picture. SORRY!

Lions

We painted lions as part of our animal unit. I drew the lions face and they painted them. This is always one of our favorite projects in the three's class.

Rainbow Sensory Bin

I finally made our rainbow sensory bin. It was fun to put together and even more fun to watch them explore.

Domino Play

I was going through some of my things at home looking for for anything I could use for a sensory bin. I found a bag of domino's and decided to put them out on a tray as a table activity. The students loved it.

We added drops of colored vinegar to baking soda.

We also explored the shaving cream

Some explored more than others

They all looked wonderful!

Marble Painting Shamrocks

Today we painted shamrocks using marbles and green and yellow paint.

Students scooped marbles out of paint and dropped them onto their shamrock.

Then they rolled the marbles around. This of course is their favorite part. We used a small wash tub so they could really move the marbles around without them flying out. Of course some went flying anyway. That's just part of the fun!

I mounted the finished shamrock to construction paper.
These were so cute and we had fun making them.

Uppercase Lowercase Alphabet Matching Game

I was inspired to create this game from Kindertips, http://www.billings.k12.mt.us/literacy/kindertipfolder/kindertip10.html
At Kindertips their game was created on a round table which I loved. I don't have a round table :(

I made this using a foam cake tray, acrylic paint, scrapbook paper, and mod podge.
Of course I used my cricut to cut out circles and letters. My circles were a bit big and I had to trim some to fit them around the edge. It's not perfect but my students don't seem to mind.
